Days 8 and 9 - Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th March 2007
The Boy's Work Experience, London Town
or, Loos of London (the Bog Blog)
Quite a busy Tuesday but didn't take any photos. Walked from TCR to Leicester Square, then took the tube to Knightsbridge again and went back to Harrods. Used the loos. Bought almonds, and rose teabags. Then I went to Edgeware Road, getting a little lost underground on the way, with some green/yellow line confusion! I had a lovely wander up the Edgeware road and bought rosewater and preserved lemons, which was what I'd gone there for. At Marble Arch I turned onto Oxford Street, and wandered all the way up there to meet The Boy at 1.30 for lunch. We went to a Thai buffet restaurant which served about 7 different types of mock duck and some tofu so we were in heaven! After The Boy went back to work I went to Planet Organic near Warren Street station for a cup of tea and a slice of gluten-free strawberry cake. Walked back along TCR, calling in Paperchase, and had a coffee in Pret. After I met The Boy we had a drink in Nero on Oxford Street and then headed back to Tudor Towers for another takeaway curry.
Wednesday morning I had a brief detour to Liberty to use their loos again and buy some soap, then took the tube to Paddington. From there I got the train to Slough, and on to Windsor. At Windsor Station my beautiful niece-in-law J met me with the littlies, Fgirl and Fboy. Their daddy, my handsome nephew A, came to meet us for lunch and we had an enormous quantity of tapas and made a phenomenal mess, which was fun. I bought Fgirl some sunglasses from H&M.

Then we went for a walk (not A, he had to go back to work, which upset Fgirl no end!) and looked at the castle, and went on the swings. Me and Fboy had a lovely shout at the pigeons.

After that I rushed back to London on the train, tube back to TCR, met The Boy from work, probably had some food (can't remember) and went to the cinema to see The 300, which was awesome.
